"They shout “When they’ve came for us (trans), they’ll come for you.” But they don’t realise, they are the ones who have been coming for us all along."

Yes. Exactly.

As usual, you've figured it out and voiced it incredibly clearly--thank you!! Also thank you for the historical evidence--it's incredibly helpful--and thank you for all you have done and are doing!!

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and insights. Some of the history in this piece was unknown to me. I am grateful for the education. Thanks for digging deep!

Let us know how the lawsuit is going along--these malpractice actions are going to form part of the history.

Still on-going, I'll give an update as soon as I can, though i suspect it wont be till next year.

Thanks! Good to know. I think Chloe Cole's case against Kaiser Permanente is the first big one to move forward in the States. A court just cleared it to be public. KP had sued twice for it to be private and lost.

This is informative and really interesting, Ritchie. You write calmly and so well, thank you. You've encouraged me to look deeper into SOC 7 and its influence in New Zealand. I hadn't understood before that SOC7 was such a big change from SOC 6 (presume there was one?). WPATH's ex or possibly still current secretary, Jaime Veale, runs a Transgender Health Research Lab at one of our universities, which puts out lots of highly influential 'research' which is quoted constantly by media and in every one of NZ's numerous institutional capitulations. We're still deep in it over here, with new moves to get rid of women's rights and shut down dissent almost every week.

Thanks for sharing this Ritchie. It’s really interesting to see how the opinion poll results change to massively against TiMs and TiFs using gendered facilities and services for the opposite sex, once the physical reality of trans identities has been explained to them.

Great breakdown of how this progressed. I fully expect a increase of serious violence by men who are already mentally unsound and become even more desperate as the tide continues to work against them. Murder suicides may become the going out with glory option.

The question for "should transgender men be allowed to use a women's refuge" was missed out: why?

My daughter was refused access to emergency accommodation by her local council on the grounds of her being "a single violent male". She's chosen to identify as male, so deal with the consequences of being treated like a male when she tries to access emergency accommodation? So it's absolutely fine if she has to sleep rough? That's the conversation I had with my local council's out of hours emergency housing department. No matter how much I told them that my "son" is in fact my biological daughter, they refused to house her for the night. No concept of the fact that women who are rough sleepers frequently experience rape. Because if she says she's male, she's male, and if her mum says please help my daughter access emergency accommodation, she's a transphobic bigot. No wonder my daughter assaulted me! I should have let her continue living at home, throwing her new-found misogynistic weight around and assaulting family members for failing to sensor "trigger words".

My daughter doesn't understand that she's desperately fighting against herself.

I was told by my daughter that TERFS were evil nazi bigots who wanted my daughter to "cease to exist".

Turns out they were just normal women like me, standing up for themselves in the face of extreme misogyny.

Sounds difficult, the mindworms truly do run deep and its not something you can argue with.

She should have been given access to the womens refuge for sure, because she's female. I'm not sure what you mean about the question though, that wasn't the direction of the article really. I'm vehemently against self-identification trumping biological sex.

I was commenting on the screenshot of the survey about trans access to different spaces and the “trans men accessing women's refuges” was left blank: the question wasn't even asked to the public.

My daughter didn't try to access a women's refuge, just overnight emergency accommodation, but was denied access on the grounds of being a “violent male”.

Oh my apologies, I misunderstood xo

This comment in no way is meant to degrade the seriousness of her situation but maybe your daughter was refused access to shelter because of her violence. She's assaulted you for mere language and I can tell you as someone who has worked in multiple shelters, we don't house violent people but people fleeing violence for the most part. It sucks that they chose to frame it as an issue of sex, but in reality, how would she behave with others if they also don't validate her delusion? If the answer is with violence then she doesn't belong in shelter but in hospital, because no one in shelter deserves to be subjected to that kind of behavior, staff or unfocused individuals. It sounds like she needs extra medical help in a controlled environment that doesn't put others at risk. I'm terribly sorry for what you're both experiencing.

I tried to get the police to hospitalise her because she was absolutely a danger to herself and others, but she passed the assessment for being "of sound mind". Which begs the question, if she can control herself well enough at the police station, how come she couldn't control herself enough at home? So many vulnerable young adults must be avoiding (because they think they'll not get on hormones or get surgery) or simply not getting the psychiatric help they need, partly due to lack of funding and partly due to the way gender dysphoria is treated, with unconditional affirmation, as though "being transgender" is an immutable state of being for every single person who questions their "gender identity". And then of course, victim status comes into play even if that person isn't a victim. It's so messy. What happened to Ritchie is guaranteed to have happened to many more people and I'm terrified my daughter will be one.

It was just temporary overnight accommodation, not a shelter per se, but I understand what you're saying. It would have been better just to say "we can't accept violent people" instead they made a big deal of how she was a "male". And the thing I worry about most is that she'll attack family members she feels comfortable with, but she freezes with people she doesn't know, so in an ironic way that means she feels safe with us, because she knows we're safe to let off steam around without hitting back. And I worry that she would attack someone she got closely involved with if they upset her. I just wish she would self refer to a hospital because it's not normal to self harm, threaten suicide and lash out violently at the people who were caring for her.

I got sick of their DARVO long ago. One tried it on me recently right here on Substack. Nothing happened.

While I do have some sympathy for them, and appreciate how difficult life can be for them, then need to understand that other people have needs too and that no one should ever have to "put aside" their discomfort to accommodate them.

Fantastic stuff. I'm in Your Party and trying to have the sex realist perspective heard but they are kicking us out of organising groups. It's an absolute shambles. I've written about it on here.

Thank you for what you do
